Socom 4 Coming to the PS3 (According to sources)

Yes, the rumors are starting to form something clear… Gamecrazy has listed the game in there database with a yet to be announced release date! AKA you can now apparently pre-order socom4. There are a few other tips out there, check this video out:

Alright, so let’s take a look of what we know so far:

PCB Productions Accidental Leak
a while back the website known as PCB Productions, who are highly involved and widely known for their work on digital content creation, made a little “slip”, posting on their credits page “Socom 4″ as one of their projects “in development”, oddly it was removed from their credits page just a few days later, suggesting that Sony wasn’t prepared for this to be publicly viewed and known. Zipper Working on Unannounced PS3 game

MAG is currently in the final stages of production, with Zipper stress testing the online servers and ironing out some final bugs. The game is due in just a bit more than 2 months on January 26, exclusively on the PS3. It doesn’t look like Zipper will be taking any time off, though – the Seattle-based developer is working on another, unannounced PS3 title.

According to the LinkedIn profiles of several Zipper employees, the dev has been working on a second PS3 game for quite some time. Graham Kay, a former Design Manager of Zipper Interactive, lists that he worked on ‘Massive Action Game (PS3) & Unannounced project (PS3)’. More recently, a senior software engineer for the company, wrote that he’s currently “developing gameplay for two PS3 games”. Specifically, he works “on the core character team at Zipper developing gameplay to be used in both games currently under development for the PS3″.

Closed Beta Users Have A Key Source
as a closed beta tester back before Socom Confrontation was out, I got to know the community pretty well, due to such a small amount of us testing and also through the closed beta forums that ran for a LONG TIME after the game was released. A few guys from this group of testers began “bonding” with a Slant Six employee named “Dat Guy”, who played with us during the closed beta and posted on the forums as well. Ever since then, he’s been hinting and giving these few people who ask for a little heads up ,on what’s coming . To confirm he is a reliable source Wrath-X ( closed tester with me) has posted several times on Socom.com, giving away information on what was to come to Confrontation in the near future, weather it be about something so small as to “Killing users who try to escape the map”, “The golden AK-47″, or bigger things “Posting all the maps coming to the DLC MONTHS prior to the announcement” ( not to mention even posting details of the maps, such as entrapment which was once named “Underground”, discussing an underground city broken down, and many other “clues” on what was coming. These people have asked “Dat Guy” about Socom 4 personally, and if it was in fact comming.

Now, keep in mind every single remark, hint, clue, rumor, post, or whatever it may be that has come from” dat guy”, to these closed testers, and then posted to be rumored on the forums have ALL been confirmed as TRUE, never has one of these rumors been FALSE.

From these tester’s I’ve been told ( Wrath-X) and it has been discussed on their forums, that SOCOM 4 is indeed, in development. Apparently Zipper split up their company, half went to go work on MAG, while the other half were assigned to work on SOCOM 4. The word is that SOCOM 4 will be announced at E3 2010, and shoot for a winter 2010 release. The value of the source is a immensely in our favor.

Sony fired Slant Six
From the reliable source we discussed earlier, Slant Six’s contract is “no more” with Sony Computer Entertainment

SOCOM 4 is coming, admit it guys.

-oh and I don’t care if “THE DLC JUST CAME OUT BRO!”
